Had to be in the queue on the phone for nearly an hour and then kicked out on position 1. Had to call again and waited another 45 minutes to get through.
National press forever giving whinging reports about long waiting times throughout the UK but I have never known a surgery so quick in giving an appointment.
Very difficult access for disabled people and mothers with prams or toddler. Rooms very difficult to manoeuvre round. Building needs updating to conform with current access legislation.
Supportive, knowledgeable and caring/sympathetic staff. Will always try and squeeze you in if it's urgent. Phone on day appointments are easy to make and repeat prescriptions have an amazing 24 hr turnaround. Receptionists are polite and understanding, doctors take you seriously and you never feel fobbed off. My only criticism would be of Sister Tegg. I have always found her to be rude and abrupt so we refuse to see her. I am a registered nurse myself, so feel no need for her lack of compassion.
Wouldn't go anywhere else for my healthcare though, Central Surgery are the most amazing doctors surgery in Rugby.
On the whole everything about the surgery is fantastic. However being on hold for 45 minutes and then getting cut off is no joke. Now I've got to find someone who can pop in and make an appointment on my behalf as I work full time. Bilton Green needs more doctors and at least two receptionists on duty at all times. It's all very well telling people they can go to Central - if we wanted / were able to go there we would have registered at Central in the first place. Perhaps stop those who do not live local to Bilton Green from making appointments there unless it is urgent?
